A customer called in just before Christmas, to have a crystal vase inscribed for her parents’ diamond wedding gift.

Celebrating 60 years, it included a diamond motif in the inscription.

She’d found me online but realised that I had engraved a silver salver for her 35 years ago as a silver anniversary gift for her Mum and Dad. She was happy to see that I am “Still up and running!” and mentioned that the salver still takes pride of place at her parents’ home.

It reminded me that the tradition of gifting anniversary gifts for specific years, still holds true today.
